Staff Update - Scott
Submitted by Headwater Investment Consulting on May 15th, 2020By CB Mason
Since I joined Headwater Investments back in 2006, I have been impressed with Scott's forward-thinking approach to employee relations, client interaction, and business planning. Our office culture has always embraced a family-first aspect of work-life balance for employees. So Scott did not hesitate to encourage a plan to create alternative workspaces for our staff.
Headwater Investments started in his home office, so Scott's transition back to his home was seamless. Back in 2009, we formalized our first "alternative work" scenarios, building contingency plans to work off-site in case of localized disruptions (damage to our office building), community disruptions (something like an earthquake), or larger disruptions. And although we did not name a pandemic or social distancing mandate as a possible larger disruption, we were able to very quickly initiated our contingency plans to work off-site.
For the health and safety of our employees and our clients, Headwater Investments is dedicated to serving our clients in a new and well-thought-out way. Scott, Tom, and Kevin are each fully functional from their home offices. The roles that CB and Ginger fill also allow them to work from home with little disruption. And Janet has agreed to be our in-office staff person, which makes the most sense based on her work responsibilities. If you happen to stop by, the door is locked, so you may need to knock if Janet hasn't already met you at the door. And as social distancing measures are relaxed, don't be surprised to see Scott in the upstairs window or CB in the building too. Just know, we at Headwater Investments are "just a phone call away" - watching your accounts, ready to answer your questions, and continuing our full-service approach to wealth management.
