Staff Update - CB
Submitted by Headwater Investment Consulting on May 28th, 2020By CB Mason
Working part-time for Headwater Investments has its advantages. My daily schedule hasn't changed too drastically. Most mornings, I teach yoga, Pilates, barre, and private balance training classes (now all virtually), and my afternoons are in front of the computer working on projects, like this one.
Before the social distancing measures, I was planning our spring client event for mid-May. We made the decision to postpone all client events for 2020 for the health and well-being of you, our clients. I was sad to contact our venue to tell them about our decision, but I know it is the right decision. But fear not, once we are able to have social gatherings again, we will re-book a date at Ken Wright Cellars in Carlton (it has a great covered outdoor space, perfect for a potentially new-normal gathering space requirement).
Another project that I coordinate with partner sponsors, First Federal and Chehalem Chamber of Commerce, is Newberg Perk, a free monthly network gathering (also now virtual) for small business owners and community members.
And I was able to find a new way to reach out to all of you. With the budget from our 2020 client events, I was able to source (mostly) local care package items. I tried to find hand sanitizer and toilet paper to include, but alas, those shelves have been bare. So I hope you each enjoyed the activity book (from Third Street Books), fun pencil (from Oregon Stationers), and "retro" candy (from Hopscotch Toys). And if you haven't already gobbled up the M&Ms, be sure to take heed of the message to "wash your hands :-)" often!
